World of villa arte

History

On Saturday, 7th September, Villa Arte is proudly opening its doors. However, a rich and remarkable history preceded the creation of our beautiful villa.

The origins of the villa

The origins of our villa trace back to the year 1900, when it was designed and built by an artist with a unique vision. Surrounded by a low fence, the villa was a reflection of the artistic flair of the time, complete with an elegant oriel that gave the building a majestic appearance. By 1930, the villa had become a symbol of beauty. The oriel window remained a prominent feature, and the garden was meticulously maintained. The fence was modest, but the villa slowly began to gain the status of an artistic icon in the area.

In the 1960s

In the 1960s, the villa began to undergo changes. The oriel window disappeared, and a taller hedge replaced the original fence, giving the villa a more secluded character. However, the artistic roots remained deeply embedded in the structure and atmosphere of the building.

Recent history

The transformation of the villa became truly evident in recent years, with beautiful details added to the roof and a garden meticulously maintained with care and attention. The presence of a horse in the garden highlighted the harmonious connection between art and nature. Pepe Gregoire and Marlin Maison, an artist and interior designer, and former residents of the villa, left their mark on the house with stunning artworks and exclusive interior design that filled the spaces.

Today

Villa Arte has been transformed into an exclusive store. The name "Villa Arte" perfectly reflects its unique artistic heritage. Designed by an artist and most recently inhabited by an artist, it has been reimagined by ‘artists’ into a luxury shop filled with art and design.

"Arte" means art in Italian, a word that aligns perfectly with Italy's renowned reputation in the world of luxury. From iconic fashion houses and legendary car brands to a rich heritage of high-quality leather goods, dazzling jewellery, and bespoke furniture, Italy is synonymous with excellence and artistry.
