Pépé Grégoire

Pépé Grégoire, a sculptor and former resident of our beautiful villa, is renowned for his work in bronze, where he explores themes such as human profiles and the connection of arms and legs. His work, inspired by archaeological finds, abstracts forms to their essence. Grégoire has created monumental pieces for public spaces and was awarded the Singer Prize in 2020 for his body of work. He studied at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunst in Amsterdam and worked in Rome and Florence. Atelier van Lieshout

Atelier Van Lieshout (AVL), founded in 1995 by Joep van Lieshout, is a leading studio based in Rotterdam. Van Lieshout works under this name to challenge the myth of the individual artistic genius. AVL is renowned for sculptural installations that balance between art, architecture, and design, often exploring themes such as power, sex, and the cycle of life and death. Their work is featured in prestigious collections worldwide, including the MOMA in New York and the Centre Pompidou in Paris. This year, AVL celebrates Van Lieshout's 40th anniversary as an artist. Eja Siepman van den Berg

Eja Siepman van den Berg is a sculptor renowned for her figurative abstraction, focusing primarily on the female nude form. Her works, typically crafted in marble or bronze, display studied poses with subtle details and minimalist expression. She has received numerous awards, including the Prix de Rome (1967) and the Wilhelmina Ring (2017). Her work is featured in major Dutch museums and collections. Siepman van den Berg has exhibited at events such as TEFAF and PAN Amsterdam and has had exhibitions at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and Museum Beelden aan Zee.

Studio Job

Studio Job, founded in 1998 by Job Smeets, is a pioneering art and design studio known for blending traditional and modern techniques in conceptual and sculptural art. The work of Studio Job ranges from bronze sculptures to product design, with commissions for brands like Swatch, Moooi, and Land Rover. Their work is exhibited globally, including at the Metropolitan Museum in New York, and they are regarded as one of the most influential design studios. Since its inception, Studio Job has held over 400 exhibitions and solo shows.

Scarlett Hooft Graafland

Scarlett Hooft Graafland creates temporary sculptures and performances in remote areas, with the photographs she takes serving as the final result. She works analog and without digital editing. Her work showcases playful interventions in nature, often in collaboration with local communities, in locations such as Bolivia and the Canadian Arctic. Hooft Graafland has exhibited in museums such as Fotografiska Stockholm and the Museum of Photography Seoul. She studied at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague and earned a Master's degree in Sculpture from Parsons School of Design in New York.

Renée van Leusden

Renée van Leusden is a sculptor who began her career in 1973 and gained significant recognition in 1991 with an exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris. Her work explores human emotions such as love, fear, and compassion, and has evolved from stone and clay to open bronze sculptures. Van Leusden's work has been exhibited worldwide and is included in numerous collections, including those of the Municipality of 's-Hertogenbosch and the Nederlands Danstheater. She studied at the Royal Academy of Art and Design in 's-Hertogenbosch.

Daan den Houter

Daan den Houter, a Rotterdam-based artist, works across multiple disciplines and is known for conceptual pieces such as melting paintings and the 'Overschilderschilderij,' involving 161 painters. His recent stripes paintings are vibrant works that engage perception and the mind. Den Houter studied at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague and Cognitive Artificial Intelligence at Utrecht University. His work is exhibited internationally, including at the Boijmans van Beuningen Museum and the Kunsthal in Rotterdam.

Inez de Brauw

Inez de Brauw, an Amsterdam-based artist, is fascinated by the representation of time-bound ideas in objects, inspired by interior photographs. She plays with trends and creates dreamlike works using techniques such as ebru and lenticular lenses. De Brauw graduated cum laude from the HKU and was an Artist in Residence at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam. She has won awards such as the NN Art Award (2022) and has exhibited at Art Rotterdam and the Kunsthal Rotterdam.

Richard Hudson

Richard Hudson, born in England, is a self-taught sculptor who creates organic, polished sculptures inspired by nature and artists like Henry Moore. His work, ranging from miniature to monumental, can be found in collections worldwide, including MOMA NY and the Sir Elton John collection. Hudson's recent work 'Tear,' made of mirrored steel, has been exhibited at locations including Madison Square Gardens and London City. Hudson lives and works in London and has exhibited at events such as Art Basel and TEFAF.

Daphne Glasmacher

Daphne Glasmacher is een kunstenaar die zich laat inspireren door optische illusies en natuurlijke verschijnselen zoals licht en schaduw. Vincent Mock

The Amsterdam-based visual artist Vincent Mock inhabits many worlds. From the African wilderness to the depths of the ocean, his sense of responsibility as an environmental activist is always reflected in his work. Life-sized sculptures of endangered marine animals made from welded fishhooks, giant deer antlers adorned with glass beads, and the golden skull of a poached rhino are just a few of the many artworks he has created to communicate his ideas about the world we live in. Whether he is contemplating the transience of life on Earth or posing questions about the complexities of human consciousness, Mock does not let us rest easily. He stimulates our imagination and reminds us of our interdependence with the natural world, or perhaps the bond we are losing with it. Mock's work is exhibited internationally, including in Italy, Germany, the UK, and Portugal, and is included in numerous private and public collections. He has also exhibited at the prestigious PAN Amsterdam art fair. Winner of the Vlissingen Art Foundation Award (2016).

Corine van Voorbergen

Corine van Voorbergen is an intuitive artist who captures eternal movement through her minimalist, round artworks. Her current series, 'Through the Brass Eye of the Beholder,' explores colour, depth, and light to evoke emotions in viewers. Van Voorbergen uses various materials and techniques to make each piece unique. Her work, housed in numerous private and corporate collections, is created from her studio in Zaandam.

René Rikkelman

René Rikkelman is an Amsterdam-based artist known for his stylised figures and portraits, often with an Asian influence. His sculptures, crafted from bronze or plastic and finished in his studio, exude a sense of inner peace. Rikkelman's work is found in numerous private collections and reflects his extensive travels and experiences.

Marion Sagon

Marion Sagon is a French painter who graduated from the Ecole Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Montpellier. Her work blends digital designs with traditional painting, inviting viewers to navigate between virtual worlds and reality. Sagon's pieces, which are included in various private and corporate collections, are created from her studio in Amsterdam.

Jaap Cok

Jaap Cok is a sculptor known for his spiritually and symbolically themed works. His sculpture "De Nieuwe Mens," crafted from Springstone and Carrara marble, was gifted to Villa Arte due to a longstanding friendship with the owner. Cok studied at the Vrije Academie in Amsterdam and the Gooise Academie in Laren, and his work has been showcased in numerous exhibitions.
